Lose some extra pounds, with Kaiser Permanente’s special rates. We’ve teamed with Weight Watchers® to help you save money on membership fees.

10,000 Steps® Program

Reap the benefits of a healthier lifestyle with a program designed to help you increase your physical activity level and work toward a goal of walking 10,000 steps each day. As a participant in this program, you can buy a pedometer to record your steps each day.
When you sign up you can:

  • use the 10,000 Steps Web site to set personal goals, track daily steps, and monitor your progress online.
  • maintain your motivation to stay physically active through daily e-mail tips that provide encouragement and support.

At Kaiser Permanente, we’re always looking for ways to help you live well. That’s why we’ve contracted with HealthPartners to bring you the 10,000 Steps Program. The program and the pedometer and are offered at a discount to our members.

As a Kaiser Permanente California member, you have access to discounts on health products and services. ChooseHealthy™ is provided to you at no cost through your health plan.

ChooseHealthyPresented in cooperation with American Specialty Health is a comprehensive health Web site offering a directory of complementary health care providers, information about complementary health care services, and discounts on health and wellness products. ChooseHealthy, a product of American Specialty Health Networks, Inc. (ASH Networks) and Healthyroads, Inc., provides discounted rates on:

  • acupuncture
  • massage therapy services
  • fitness club memberships
  • chiropractic care
  • herbs, vitamins, and supplements
  • health and fitness books and videos

(Please note that this is a discount program; it is not insurance.) You can access services from any ASH Networks contracted provider; referrals from primary care physicians are not required. You’re responsible for paying the discounted fee directly to the contracted provider.

As a ChooseHealthy member, you also receive a free annual subscription to FitnessCoach.com. Through this online resource, you’ll find the tools you need to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. You can develop a personalized exercise or meal plan, track your progress, and more. You can also purchase telephone coaching sessions for weight management, tobacco cessation, or healthy living.
